Project Monitoring and Evaluation ( PME) Cell” for NAHEP CAAST on “Skill development to use spatial data for Natural Resources Management in Agriculture” at JNKVV Jabalpur.
It is great pleasure that a new project titled as “Skill development to use spatial data for Natural Resources Management in Agriculture” has been approved by Education Division Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) under National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) funded jointly by ICAR and the World Bank. This shall be established as a advanced Centre “Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology (CAAST)” under subcomponent 1 b of NAHEP. The total outlay of the project as approved is Rs. 1913.00 lakhs for 4 years (F.Y. 2019-20 to 2022-23).
As per requirement of the project a “Project Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) Cell” is constituted at Vishwa Vidyalaya level for the period of the project. The formation and constitutional provisions are mentioned on the page 12-14 of monitoring and Evaluation Manual (pages appended). This describes the role of PME cell as below.
- To make recommendations to Project Implementation Unit (PIU) on implementation and policy issues related to CAAST JNKVV.
- To monitor and report regularly on CAAST JNKVV regarding physical and financial inputs and outputs.
